Are you needing sofa inspiration?

We visited our client Angela, at her beautiful heritage listed home in Perth Western Australia, to see her customised Torrance & McKenna sofa and her inspiration process for pulling a cohesive and homely look together.

Angela started her sofa modification project with Torrance & McKenna based on a beautiful, 80 year old Persian rug that she drew colour inspiration from.

Looking to recreate a traditional English look, Angela chose to work with our Tudor Sofa, modifying the size and depth so that it was ‘super deep and comfy’. Paired with the inspirational teals, cobalt blues and greys drawn from the Persian rug, Angela coordinated with our designers Yogesh and Dina to find the perfect plush velvet fabrics from  to match.

The Persian colours were also carried through to cushions and occasional chairs.

Angela’s first sofa project focused on the customisation of two Flair leather sofas. These feature pieces were heavily customised with Angela’s own vision, a personalised patterned leather textile with rounded arms and decorated with studs.

“First time around I was a little bit nervous because I knew exactly what I wanted and I really hoped he could deliver it, so you have to have that trust. But he got it so right, I was so thrilled!“

Her beautiful heritage listed home, built in 1913 and renovated by Springate Homes, has been beautifully renovated and was a joy to visit.
